Very well run practice with knowledgeable and carrying staff.
Worst service I have ever received. I just recently adopted an American bulldog and was going to bring him here. I was running a little late and the lady at the front counter made a smart remark and then I was told they wouldn't see him with his shot records which I did forgot but told her I could fax it over or bring it back later, she told me they would have to re vaccinate my dog in order for him to be seen. I drove 30 mins across town to get his papers and drove 30 mins back only to be told they couldn't see him. Completely wasted my time and had no consideration I will be taking my business elsewhere and never recommend this place.
Very snobby staff. Never even made it in for a visit because of the poor service via phone call. Would never try to take my animal there in the future. Need more than rude young college kids answering the phone. Could care less if the business closed. Of zero importance to me or the community.
Dr. Cottrell and his team are the best. We have been bringing our dog and cat to Pleasure Island Animal Hospital since they opened in 2011 and have had nothing but good experiences. This practice affords the very best care and is sensitive to the fact that some of us can't afford to perform every test under the sun when our animals are not well. We have worked with other vets in the area and would recommend PIAH above them all.
Dr. Todd saved my dogs life! We were vacationing and my dog became very ill. I Googled to find a vet in the area. Luckily I chose this clinic. Ended up my dog ate sand and had a blockage. The clinic was booked for the day so Dr. Todd and colleague teamed up on her lunch break to do an emergency surgery. Everything turned out fine. If Dr. Todd wasn't willing to give up her time to operate, and had sent us to Wilmington to the nearest emergency hospital, my dog may have not made it. I can't say enough about this clinic! The entire staff was concerned about my dog and went out of their way to comfort me. Great people!
