Went here on a Saturday night on vacation. If you're looking for a great steak in Kure/Carolina Beach, GO TO FREDDIE'S INSTEAD!! The only good thing the Deck House provided to us was that even when it was busy, we got seated fairly quickly. We unfortunately were seated near the really loud bar. It was needless to say, not a pleasant meal. Meal was expensive for what was served. 3 Ribeyes were ordered at our table, all ordered med-rare, and all 3 came out at different temps (one was rare and the others overcooked). Nothing was consistent. The service sucked. The waitress was forgetful, brought out incorrect food and beverages and made us feel like we were neglected. We were rarely checked on. After we completed our poorly cooked meals, it took us almost 30 minutes to get our checks, pay and get out of the place. 18% gratuity was automatically added for our party of 6, which was definitely way too much for what we received. We will definitely not be back here on our next vacation.
I would consider this an elegant or romantic place. The ambience is very nice and unique. It used to be an old church. I love the lobster bisque and the crab dip. Everything I’ve ever had here was good. If you’ve never been I would definitely recommend giving it a try.
Absolutely fantastic experience! The crab & shrimp stuffed broiled flounder was spectacular - every bite was delectable. The hot crab dip appetizer was the best I have ever had, and, I order crab dip at every restaurant that offers it. Very impressive! Our waitress, Mary, was extremely kind and helpful, and, had a great knowledge of wines and helped us choose a delicious wine that complemented our dinner quite well. Will recommend this restaurant to every person I know. Incredible!
Had an all around wonderful experience here! The service was wonderful and everything we ordered was delicious! This place has the best grouper special you'll ever eat. The restaurant itself has a nice atmosphere too.
Definitely one of our favorite restaurants on Pleasure Island. We love taking our family to this restaurant. My favorite dish keeps me coming back which is the Sesame encrusted tuna steak. It is absolutely to die for. We love the staff and the atmosphere. Plus since it's just off the main drag, we like to walk to the Carolina Beach Lake Park and stroll after a nice dinner. It definitely completes the evening.
