We had our wedding here October 7! Nellie, Nicole and Brian were awesome. Nellie went out of her way to make sure everything was perfect. We're so thankful for the staff that made our reception beautiful and made our guest feel at home. The food was spectacular! Everything was! If you're looking to have your wedding somewhere on the beach, I would highly recommend it. Thank you to all the employees at the Courtyard Marriot, but a huge thank you to Nellie, Nicole, Brian and the head chef! You guys deserve a raise.
My mom, my aunt, my daughter, and myself had a girls weekend at the Courtyard by Marriott in Carolina Beach. They were doing renovations, but it was surprisingly peaceful. The staff were all really friendly. The rooms were really comfortable. They have a lovely little bistro in the lobby, and offer a well stocked breakfast buffet. They also have an indoor pool and hot tub, and a small gym. Everything was clean, everyone was lovely.
Our room was really clean, it was big enough for me and my two kids and we had a great view of the ocean. The breakfast buffet was delicious. The employee's were very nice and helpful. And it's close to everything. We enjoyed our weekend stay here. I definitely recommend staying here.
We stayed here for two night a few weeks ago. It was a nice place love the pool and the ocean view from are room was nice. Didn't like the price we had to pay for breakfast I paid over $600 for 2nights thought breakfast would have been free. But with that said it was a wonderful place we will go back just know to get food elsewhere.
First time here was in 2014, and it was nice. There's no other modern hotel in this area on the beach. Great views, right next to the amusement park and lots of businesses. During this time that kids were out on summer vacation, the pool was extremely crowded and there were usually hordes of people waiting for the elevator. The water from the faucet tasted terrible, so be sure to bring your own bottled water. The mini convenience store in the lobby was useful with an array of snacks. However, more recently, I went there and was dismayed at how worn out the hotel looked in a matter of 3 years. The lobby seemed beat from all the foot traffic, carpet was noticeably worn out or torn in some parts, and hallways smelled musty and like mildew even though it had not been raining. I guess this place is so popular that they can still charge close to $300 or even more per night, while the guests wear out the facilities. Hope they will be making renovations pronto, in which case I would be glad to return.
