This motel is not worth the money! Especially if you want a quiet place to stay. We have been awake since 5am we are tired. We can't sleep because of the noise from the beer joint. Quietness is worth the extra money. The room is clean, the air is cold, the staff is friendly, but oh my ever loving goodness! only a booze hound could sleep here! The room door does stick and the drywall multiple multiple unpainted patches. It is close to beach but not close enough to walk "safely". The beach parking is 2 bucks an hour so we drove to the beach every day. The road next to the motel is too busy to cross without sprinting.
We had a lovely stay @ Drifters Reef the room was perfect for our needs & we will be back - though we did not bring our dog this time- it is such a bonus to find a great hotel that is also pet friendly. Our only suggestion would be a garbage can for the bathroom & towel hooks - the shower curtain rod also fell into the tub often - perhaps it just needs to be replaced, as the spring/ tension was gone. Thank you!
We arrived very late, but the front office rep seemed like she had been sleeping in the back. Room was the smallest I've ever seen and overpriced. I've stayed in hotels across the US and never seen such a tiny room. Room offered only a mini fridge and mini coffee pot, with no coffee or creamer/sugar- so it was useless. At check in we asked if any amenities were there. She said, no. However on Google (after check out) we see there's supposedly a pool. After checkout we received a call stating we would be charged a $200 fine for smoking in the room, even though we didn't, I guess the smoke drifted inside from the door. My fiance and the guests next door were smoking outside, at the railing, no balcony at $129/night. We left the door open because the ac didn't work well, just ran continuously. The beds were hard, and extremely thin. Carpets were very stained, so we had to leave our shoes on. Least the sheets seemed soft and the water stayed hot, even though it took longer than usual to heat up. Toilet didn't flush correctly and went down slow. No toiletries were in the room, except 2 bar soaps.
I just had to let you know how incredible polite and helpful everyone was at your hotel. We stayed for a family reunion and the front desk clerk was so helpful with giving us suggestions of great restaurants!
Best nights sleep Ive had in a while This hotel was the perfect spot to lay over on our way to Florida from New York! Comfortable & very clean.
Unfortunately while at Freeman park, helping tow THREE vehicles that got stuck in the sand, we blew the radiator in the truck. We spoke to the front rep about leaving the truck in the furthest parking lot space while we got another truck to pull, she responded with attitude. Making us nervous she'd have it towed, thankfully they didn't.
